Trades of Hope

I want to share something really exciting with you…

I love book blogging, but it doesn’t pay the bills. I don’t have a car because my husband uses the one we have for his job as a home health physical therapist. But I’m happy to say, I now have a work from home job. Actually, I wouldn’t even call it a job. I’d call it a mission! I’m now a Compassionate Entrepreneur with Trades of Hope.

TOH mapWhat is Trades of Hope?

Trades of Hope is a Christian fair trade company that helps change lives. They work with artisans in countries such as Haiti, India, Peru, Jordan, and many more, to make beautiful products to sell to us in the USA. Through sustainable business,  these artisans are able to provide for their children, escape sexual exploitation, create hopeful futures for themselves and much more.

Do you like buying jewelry and other fashion accessories?

Because that’s what I now sell. And some home decor as well.

The Important Stuff – How to Buy

Trades of Hope sellers are called Compassionate Entrepreneurs, and each has their own website. When you make a purchase through a CE’s site, it means that CE gets the commission.

This is my website.

I also have a Facebook page.

ToH Faith braceletI hope you will take a look and make a purchase. When you buy something for Trades of Hope, you’re helping to make a difference to someone’s life. And the pieces really are lovely. I was a customer before I became a CE and I’d neither wear nor sell something if I didn’t like it. I’m wearing the Faith bracelet from Haiti as I type this out. (See photo on right, though that’s not me in the picture!) Each artisan has already been paid for their work, and they’re now able to provide food, education, and medical care for their families.

Want to do more?

Would you like to host a party? If you’re in western New York or northwestern Pennsylvania, I’d be happy to come to a venue of your choosing and put on a presentation for you and your friends. If you’re outside of that area, I can do a Facebook party where I do a presentation online for you and your invited friends. There are some great incentives for hosting as well.

Or perhaps you’d like to become a Compassionate Entrepreneur yourself. You can work from home, set your own hours, and help spread the word of Trades of Hope and change the world. I became one through a long-time friend and I was her customer before I joined.

If you’re interested in either of the above opportunities, please email me at the address on my Trades of Hope website.

Thank you
